NFL Weekly Picks experts report the Indianapolis Colts will face the Green bay Packers at Lambeau field to play their 3rd game of the NFL preseason. Tonight’s game features two premier quarterbacks that looked like they are in midseason form after their brief performances in the first two games. Colts quarterback Peyton Manning only played two series but drove his team to score 10 points in 16 plays going 8 for 10 with 91 yards.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was just as impressive going 8-11 throwing for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Rodgers looked like he was in a video game taking his team on easy scoring drives as the Packers won 27-24 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.

As for the backups, Green Bay’s Matt Flynn went 10 for 20 throwing for 130 yards with an interception while Colts backup Curtis Painter was terrible going 9 for 19 throwing for multiple interception totaling 11 yards and was booed by the Colts fans.
The Colts will work on their running game throughout the preseason as it ranked last with only 80.9 rushing yards and they will look to feature Donald Brown more this season. Green Bay’s rushing offense has looked good in the 1st two games as Brandon Jackson ran for 80 yards and a score on 11 carries for the Packers in the opener but they will feature Ryan Grant who average 4.4 yards a game last season.

Our insiders for NFL weekly picks reports that both teams have been resting their key players in the preseason and will do the same tonight as six Colts starters that include Dwight Freeney, Dallas Clark, Bob Sanders and Jeff Saturday sat out the last game. Rodgers and Manning will put up big numbers in the 1st quarter but after that the Colts will become a team of reserves trying to prove themselves as their backup quarterbacks look like a deer in headlights. The Colts gave up 37 points to the 49ers and 34 points to the Bills so look for even more points scored by the Packers tonight as they will roll Indianapolis in this preseason mismatch.

Haren only allowed one run over seven innings pitched on opening day against the Padres as Arizona won that game 6-3.

Both starting pitchers have been solid this season although they haven’t received much run support from their teams. Haren is 5-1 giving up 3 runs a game in 12 starts against the Padres while Haren with an ERA just over 3 runs a game while garland is 4-1 with a 2.62 ERA in nine home starts this season.
